LED Downlight

When you want to create an attractive aesthetic around the exterior of your home or help light the way when you arrive home in the dark, downlights are a great addition to any home for both mood and safety, with LED lights offering one of the most energy-saving options. While early versions of LED downlights didn't emit as strong of a light as halogens, times have changed, and they now offer strong and focused light that can rival incandescents, compact fluorescent and halogen globes.

Energy Efficiency

LED lights can last for up to 50,000 hours, around 10 times as much as halogens or compact fluorescent bulbs. While LED downlights tend to be more expensive than other downlights, the money you invest will be offset by savings of up to 90 per cent on your energy bills. Because LED downlights are long lasting, you won't have to replace them as often as other downlights, saving you money in the future.

Other Benefits of LED Downlights

In addition to their energy-saving and long-lasting qualities, LED downlights do not contain dangerous mercury or lead and do not emit UV rays or infrared radiation. They operate at a much cooler temperature than halogens, making them a safer option in your home, and reach their full brightness instantly.

Colour-Changing LED Downlights

If you want to add a dash of colour to your home, look for colour-changing RGB LED downlights that can be controlled through your smartphone or tablet. Control up to five different lights at once in all colours of the spectrum using the Spectrum Pro app with timer and grouping functions available. They are SAA approved in Australia to ensure your safety and that of your entire family.

LED Downlight Kits

While you can purchase LED downlights individually, if you're looking to install a new lighting system at your home, look for LED downlight kits. They come with multiple LED downlights in both fixed and dimmable designs with dimmable options in warm white or daylight and LED MR16 light bulbs.
