Lima HO Scale Locomotives
With Lima model trains produced as early as the 1950’s, you'll find vintage Lima HO scale trains in several locomotive types. Lima replicated New South Wales trains such as a steam 38 locomotive and diesel-electric 42 for Australians and others to add to their toy train collections.
Lima HO Scale Steam Locomotives
Along with a Lima steam locomotive, models may include a coal tender. Coal tenders held fuel for the steam engine such as wood or coal so that trains could travel long distances. Although most steam engines are black, you may find a model painted bright green or charcoal grey. Likewise, trains are realistically detailed in 1:87 scale when compared to a real-life locomotive and on average measure 12 cm in length by 5 cm tall.
Lima HO Scale Diesel Locomotives
Collect a diesel Lima HO scale locomotive such as a 1950’s Victorian Railways train that has working headlights. The train features the distinctive VR blue and yellow colours and may come in the original Lima box. Other pre-built models may include the locomotive and several train cars with working wheels and couplers.
