Say cheers to smooth drinking Merlot wines

If you love a smooth, easy-drinking red wine, you're probably a big fan of Merlot. You can't beat a glass of Merlot wine after a hard day at work, it's up there in popularity with Cabernet Sauvignon. Unlike the Cabernet, however, this is one of the softer, medium-tannin members of the red wine family, with beautiful fruity plum and blackberry flavours. When it comes to food pairing, it drinks brilliantly with many dishes, from chicken or lamb to rich chocolate desserts.

The Merlot grape was first grown back in the 18th century in the famous Bordeaux wine region of France. It was so well received that this delicious grape varietal has gone on to be cultivated all over the world, including in Australia. You can find a great selection of this much-loved wine right here on eBay.
