Skin Care Products
Beautiful, glowing skin is a highly sought-after feature. Beauty standards may vary around the world and between cultures, but clear skin is a universal goal. Some people are lucky enough to need barely more than water and a simple cleanser to keep their skin clean and acne free. Most of us would need a little more help. Even if your skin were already good and flawless, it may not hurt to add a few items to your daily routine just give your skin an extra boost when it needs it.Skin Care Regimen
The most basic and general regimen recommended by dermatologists and beauticians has three parts. They recommend using a cleanser, toner and moisturiser daily and in that order. You can add on serums before moisturiser to give your skin some extra care. Other treatments and products will come after the moisturiser. These include sunscreen and any spot treatments for acne or scars. At least once a week, you should exfoliate your skin and use a mask treatment. You can give you and your skin a weekly pamper night for happy, healthier skin. Exfoliating and using skin masks and peels should be done as part of the cleansing process, applying toner and moisturiser as usual after completing the two steps.Different Skin Types
Everybodys skin is different and reacts differently to products, but identifying your skin type can help give you a starting point of what to buy. The four major skin types are normal, dry, oily and combination. Normal skin types are not too oily or too dry, making them easy to maintain. They can do well with a basic skin care routine, and many products suit this skin type. Dry skin types benefit from more intense face moisturisers and a cream-based routine. People with dry skin should be careful to avoid skin care products that may be too harsh as many chemicals can dry out the skin drastically. Oily skin types should use milder moisturisers and avoid any oily serums and cleansers. Those with combination skin need to balance oil control with keeping the skin hydrated. If you have combination skin, you can buy products specifically made for combination skin types, or you can have separate products for the different sections of your face to treat the specific problems.
