Keeping it Budget
While high-end flagship phones are all well and good, they require a wide open wallet thanks to their slightly eye-watering price tags. Looking for a phone that ticks all the boxes that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg isn’t always easy. There are always trade-offs. Want this? Need to pay that. Want that? Need to pay this. However, unlike its top tier brother the Sony Xperia Z, when it was released back in 2013, the Sony Xperia SP managed to save buyers a fair bit of money – while still giving them a decent smartphone to play with.
So, what did it have to offer? Measuring in at 5.14 inches by 2.64 inches, the Xperia SP is far from huge – but it does feel quite chunky. Unlike some of the higher end phones that feature glass and metal bodies, the SP rocks a plastic casing with aluminium edging. It also features a light along the bottom edge that flashes alerts of incoming calls and messages. This light show will not be for everyone. With its dual-core processor, the SP is certainly zippy, and it most certainly up to the task of accomplishing anything that’s thrown at it. With its 720p screen, it’s not in the same league as some of the smartphone displays on offer today, but it’s sharp and bright and completely watchable. While it may not have a very impressive camera, the SP is a great all-round phone – especially when price is taken into consideration.
Buying the Sony Xperia SP

Buy brand new or used, narrowing each search by colour, features, lock status and price. Keeping to a budget? eBay can make that happen.
