Suzuki Complete Outboard Boat Engines
One of the top 10 automakers in the world, Suzuki was originally founded in 1909 as a loom manufacturer for the silk industry. Over a century later, Suzuki is one of the most trusted brands across the globe in motor production, including marine outboard engines. Complete outboard engines combine an engine, gearbox and propeller, and are affixed to the transom of a boatthe horizontal area across the stern of a boat. Outboard motors are the most common method of propulsion in small watercraft, and when the motor isn't in use, it can be used as a rudder. They tend to be very easy to install and remove as required, and are relatively lightweight so they are easily transportable.
Suzuki Outboard Engine Corrosion Resistance
All Suzuki engines enjoy a number of features, such as anti-corrosion systems to protect your motor from saltwater. Sea water, silt, mud and sand can wreak havoc on electrical equipment and, if given half the chance, will absolutely destroy machinery. Suzuki combats this by utilising extra-strong aluminium alloys in its products. The engine is cleaned and then layered in chromium oxide, baked-on epoxy resin primer and then a final coat of tough curing melamine resin paint. In addition, the motor is installed with zinc anodes, which weather the brunt of salt corrosion and are replaceable. Stainless steel plated with chrome is used for nuts and bolts to ensure further corrosive resistance.
Suzuki Two-Stroke Outboard Motors
There are a range of two-stroke outboard motors available, offering a lot of power packed into a small motor. The DT-30 is a popular choice, featuring an electric or manual starting system, dual water inlet and shallow water drive so you can use it even in very shallow areas. The motor tilts upward through a manual function to prevent it from coming into contact with debris or the ground in waters that are not deep. Its full throttle operating range is 5,000 to 5,600 rpm, and it has a fuel tank capacity of 25 litres.
Suzuki Four-Stroke Outboard Motors
Once again, there are multiple options of four-stroke motors to choose from, each with a set of great characteristics. The DF20A is the world's first electronic fuel injection system that doesn't require a battery. It can be tilted for shallow waters either manually or electronically, has an oil pan capacity of 1.5 litres and a separate fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. Its full throttle range is 5,300 to 6,300 rpm with a maximum output of 14.7 kW.
Suzuki Outboard Engine Parts
