Craft Stamping Ink

Craft Stamping Ink

Used for crafts such as handmade greeting cards and scrapbooking, craft stamping ink lets you customise paper and other materials to add personalisation. Along with an ink pad, rubber stamps can add images to paper in a variety of designs, such as flowers, shapes or holiday-themed designs.

What Are Some Stamping Ink Types?

The most well-known type of stamping ink is an ink pad. This is a compact, portable way to access ink where you simply lift the lid and press a rubber stamp into the pad to use it. Self-inking stamps already have a built-in reservoir of ink you press down to access, so you can stamp multiple times without having to use a pad. Alcohol inks come in a bottle instead of a pad, and you can use a special alcohol ink applicator to use it or apply the ink. Ink pads vary in size from extremely small to hand-sized pads.

What Are Some Brands of Stamping Ink?

Some well-known brands of stamping ink, stamps and ink pads include Tim Holtz, a manufacturer of alcohol ink in a spectrum of colours as well as distressed ink meant to look aged; Stampin' Up!, a brand that offers a variety of stamps and ink pads; and Hero Arts, a purveyor of numerous ink types, including colourful Ombre Ink.
