Towel Rails

Slim and sleek, towel rails serve one function: to hang bathroom or kitchen towels on. A necessary bathroom accessory, it's convenient to have towels within reach after you wash your hands or get out of the shower. Use towel rails for all types of towels, including hand towels or dish towels, and always have a spot to dry your hands on when you need it.

Off the Rails

Kitchen towel rails and bathroom towel rails come in many designs and styles to fit into your existing decor. A single towel rail, generally made of chrome, can hold one or two towels, but double towel racks expand your space. They vary in colour from silver to black, and install easily on any wall. Another option is to use a free standing-rack that as several rails to hang towels on but doesn't mount on the wall.

Top Shelf

Expand your bathroom storage space by adding a towel shelf to the area. A shelf features a shelf on top and a single or double towel rail underneath, and wall mounts for convenience. You can use the shelf for face cloths, soap, or other small necessities, and hang towels as well. These are handy to hang right outside the bathtub or shower so you can keep towels within arm's reach, and add your razor or soap to the shelf. Typically made of rust-free stainless steel, towel shelves sometimes have hooks attached to the towel rails in order to hang robes or loofahs.

Climb the Ladder

A cool, contemporary alternative to traditional towel rails is the ladder. If you need more space for towels but don't want to mount multiple towel rails, a ladder actually looks like a ladder, but these trendy towel holders lean up against the wall, giving you multiple 'rungs' to hold your towels without taking up extra space. Another option uses the same idea, but actually wall mounts and features up to seven or eight 'rungs' to hang towels, but doesn't sit on the floor. Floor ladders typically come in bamboo designs, while wall-mounted versions are usually stainless steel.

The Heat is On

There are few things more relaxing than a warm towel after you step out of the shower or bath. To give yourself this salon service at home, opt for a wall-mounted heated towel rail. Available in multiple metal options, including silver, bronze, and gold, and they're easy to operate. Most models simply plug in to heat up your towel so it will be nice and toasty when you need it. Heated rails provide multiple spots to place your towel, and some are even freestanding.
