Lined Window Curtains

Choose from a large selection of lined window curtains to not only decorate your space, but to provide usefulness. With the ability to choose from many different colours and sizes, and with curtains made from everything from cotton to Belgian flax linen, you can easily find the curtains you need to complement your decor while giving just the right amount of light.

Materials

When it comes to curtains, it’s optimal to choose from materials that are easy to care for in both the washer and dryer. As you may want to wash curtains several times a year, dry clean only curtains (such as silk) may be cumbersome. However, if silk is the soft, luxurious effect you prefer, it does provide an opulent look for a room. Easy-to-care for, common materials include cotton, polyester, cotton blend, linen and Belgian flax linen. Many of these are also available organically made.

Colours and Patterns

There’s no rule that says you must choose solid colours for your lined curtains, so there are a wealth of choices available, even for blackout panel curtains or window curtains with thermal linings. Look for florals, stripes, plaid or other designs that can easily become the focal point of your room. Solid colours are also an elegant choice; look for seafoam green or teal to cool a room, or red, beige or brown to add warmth.

Blackout Panels

Window curtains with blackout panels are a great choice for many reasons. Most of all, blackout panels block light. In the summer, this keeps harmful UV rays from entering the room. Light coming through windows has a tendency to harm, fade or dry out furniture or other belongings. Blackout panels help block this light.

Convenience

Blackout, thermal panels and lined curtains are also very convenient in winter, as they keep cold air out. In turn, these help to save on the heating bill. With blackout panels, you can keep the sun out in summer and the cold air out in the winter. In between, if you’d like to sport pleated curtains or sheer curtains instead, many of these liners can be removed, leaving you with a sheer panel.
