Women's Scarves

Imagine wearing a dark dress suit with nothing to take it from drab to interesting. That's where women's scarves do their job to brighten up dull colours, provide warmth around the neck, and soften the contours of your face. You'll find them in a variety of materials and patterns to go with other accessories that every woman needs and wants.

Other Women's Accessories

Along with women's scarves and wraps, you can put on attractive headbands and hair claws or wear a fascinator on the right side of your head to add glamour to your wardrobe. Instead of carrying boring paper tissues, bring along an embroidered handkerchief in your purse for a classy take on dealing with allergies or dabbing away tears. Otherwise, cinch your waist with a pretty leather belt, or slip on some gloves, or grab a fun, patterned umbrella, if needed.

There is a plethora of material choices. Some may consider silk scarves to be the most luxurious and cotton scarves to be the most practical. On a cold day, wrap a faux fur, wool blend, or cashmere scarf around your neck tied in a French knot or double-sided twist design. The more often you wear a scarf, you'll learn other ways to tie it or create your own design.

You may prefer a scarf in an animal print, camouflage pattern, or other striking design that turns heads wherever you go. Herringbone and hounds-tooth choices are classic designs that never seem to go out of vogue. The same goes for plaid, chequered, striped, and pinstriped scarves. Alternatively, select patterns with bold patterns, such as spots, geometric designs, and florals, for a daring and enterprising look.

Experiment with colours when you want to tone down a brightly coloured outfit or make one come alive. Beige scarves bring out the vivid hues of red and purple clothing, yet stand alone without any help when worn with black or dark grey. Colours like hot pink, lime, and yellow in lightweight materials are perfect for spring and early summer. A multi-coloured scarf goes well with anything and should be a mainstay in your closet.
