BEST REPLACEMENT REMOTE
This is the best buy I have ever made for any of my trucks! I bought this for my 1997 GMC C1500 and it was really easy to program it! All I had to do was get a paper clip and form it into a U shaped figure and stick one end into the 4 port and the 8 port on my OBD2 port on my truck which then makes the door lock and then unlock which means it’s in pairing mode. Then you put your key in ignition and DO NOT TURN IT OR ANYTHING!! You just wait for it to beep 2 times and then take the key back out and then you take your remote and old the lock and unlock button until your door locks and unlocks. 1999 GMC Suburban with liftgate.
Bought a set of 2 for my 99 GMC Suburban w/liftgate, & they arrived very fast (without batteries) & were programmed in less than 5 minutes. Since I didn't have original Key Fobs, I can not compare. The owners manual states a range of 30' which is about right. Functions include lock (without confirmation), 2 stage unlock, & unlock of rear liftgate glass, but not the horn button (which again I'm uncertain the original actually had). Do I reccomend? Yes, & am glad I purchased this set, & in fact may get a second set (vehicle allows up to 4 assigned key fobs). Programming was as simple as a jumper between pins #4 & #8 (followed YouTube video) of the OBD port. Lastly, you could tell these were used, but the only wear was at the place where you open the key fob to install the batteries, the rubber buttons were in pristine condition.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
