Pros and Cons
Cons: The sound feature is too weak and lame to get the attention of any dog. The remote is clunky and bigger than necessary and the buttons are badly arranged. You must select the function first before you send a command to the collar. The instructions are overly complex and confusing due to poor product design. The collar does not turn itself off when not in use and the range is iffy. Pros: It looks nice and appears well made. It is the best of the three I have tried. It functions well and reliably. The vibrate function is usually sufficient to get attention. The battery doesn't last at all !!
The product itself works fine but the battery life of the receiver last for only 30 min to 1 hour after fully charged. The transmitter's battery last a long time - about 6 hours of use after fully charged. In addition, the shock level is already quite high at level 1-2. I tested it on myself and I could not go up to level 5. I tried it on my dag and he twitched at level 1! I ended up only using the vibration mode but after 30 min, the battery runs out every time. I would not recommend this product at all. I highly recommend this product. It finally turned my hounds ears ON......I was kinda disturbed with how high I had to turn the shock up to finally get him to listen to basic commands, but it worked. Now just the buzzing usually works or then to the vibrate, I have not had to use the shock in over 3 months. OK that was the GOOD Now here's the BAD The dog collar IS NOT WATERPROOF. First time we had to cross a river the dogs shock collar stopped working. Back at the cabin I took it apart and it wasn't FULL of water, but everything was wet. I thought it was trashed but leaving it apart in a bag of rice in the window sill for a couple of days did the trick. Still using it today. Water resistant maybe Waterproof no way. Hope this is helpfullI highly recommend this product. OUTSTANDING...amazing unit with up to 3 dog control..Fantastic quality...The leash is big enough to fit any dog and woven fiber for strength in a rubberized collar ...water proof and very easy setup...and operation...With so many to chose from I was worried ...But I am 110% happy with this Amazing Unit...and the distance is what I was worried about... but always has connection...and the ease of use ...and set up..took less then 5 minutes...Has a nice Manual with multiple tips.... not just 1 sheet and you don't know how to use unit you know...and manual is really well formated to find what you want quik and easy 17 page booklet about 6"x8" not a cheapo 2x3 you know........rubber remote charge plug insert is nice and heavy so it won't snap off..and plugs tight to keep waterproof again has a ... Great Collar
This collar helped me correct my stubborn dog. I only have to use the audible and the buzz features with my dog, but nice to have the less harsh features. The nice thing is that both the remote and the collar are both rechargeable. Best affordable collar I have bought so far.
