I was a little disappointed when I purchased this item. I was expecting it to have the cover for this item. It never stated that it didn't have the outer case. I was excited to add this to my collection for a decent price but now am disappointed that I now don't have the outer case. It was a good value but wish they had fully stated how the item was.

Ok, we fans of the show will debate of which of the 5 seasons were the best. Season three had more unique episodes. All the episodes due to the writers strike. Rona Barrett, the introduction of the Hubert (Bert) Viola character. The episode Atomic Shakespeare a great idea, I always enjoyed it. In the commentary we learn it was the lowest rated episode. NOT good after the work & idea put into it. Then, the introduction & removal of the Sam character with Mark Harmon. The set up for the last 2 episodes of the season I Am Curious…Maddie the episode where Maddie & David finally get together & To Heiress Human the day after episode. Cameos from future celebrities, look for those as the show goes on. OK, let's get technical. The chases & stunts. NOT a good job with the stunt people looking like the characters. But, you remembered the chases because the were funny. We did NOT really care about the case for the week, we cared about the characters. How the characters were written & how the behaved is what brought we fans to the show week after week. The quotable lines. Commentary on some episodes & 1 extra in this season DVD package.Read full review
My memory of this clever series were better than the reality. I remembered Bruce Willis's astonishing debut on the small screen: witty, full of life, sarcastic, funny. Most of that is still true. But I did not remember how consistently stodgy and argumentative Cybil Shepard was. She never seems to relent, except briefly from time to time which comes as a welcome relief from her onslaught against Bruce's sweet witticisms. And Alice Beasley's rhyming, and interminable, method of answering the phone is a joke that SOON becomes tiresome and boring. Still it was a step forward in sit-come style, and can be enjoyable. Just be prepared for the dated clothing, hairdo's, and Shepard's unrelenting negativity.

During the time that Moonlighting was on TV, everyone would drop what they were doing and rush to the TV at 9PM to see the latest with David and Mattie. I remembered episodes from the third season with great fondness, especially "Atomic Shakespeare". What a shock to discover that this great episode was one of the lower rated shows. I was extremely pleased to be able to buy Season 3 from eBay, and both quality of the DVDs and the quality of the shows stand up to the "test of time".
Very happy and pleased I found these cds, I love them very much.

Hard to find season 3 of the 1980s TV show, which defies description. Is it an hour-long sitcom, a rom com, or a detective show? A mishmash of all of that. Great writing and acting, movie-like production.
