I've used Chilton's auto repair books, As well as rival Haynes in the past. Without a doubt this one is the most disappointing. The book in trying to cover several models, lacks detail for Mark VIII's as a example. The photos don't match my engine bay or even detail the change from coil packs to coil on plug set up on the Late model 4.6 liter v8. As a Lincoln Mark 8 driver I'm stuck as Haynes has no book for my car at all as a alternative to buy. Based on these major errors in just the first 3 chapters I can only rate this a 3/5 star book. A do it your self user may need to buy the Lincoln Shop manual as a back up to this book. They can be found for sale in CD form here on EBAY.
The book provided me with what I needed.

This book was purchased because we own a vehicle made in 2000. It has helped us to repair many things ourselves instead of having to take it to the mechanic. It has been a very valuable book.
