Philip Norelco 8900 - First Impression
I have had this Philip Norelco 8900 for couple of weeks. First impression =great? So far so good. If prior brand experience is to be trusted, that means I will expect many happy years of shaving with this unit. It is smooth with little to no irritation to my sometimes sensitive skin. The cleaning kit is a plus... though not as intuitive it should have been. It takes fiddling around just to figure out how to power it on. Great shave. Quiet
I had used a Remington foil razor for decades. I then switched to a Panasonic foil razor for a decade. The Panasonic had a better floating head than the Remington, and was a bit quieter. However, both of those were quite loud, and my research has found that all foil razors are quite loud. Then I took a chance with a rotary razor... This Philips Norelco S8950-90 razor. Soooo much quieter! And it shaves at least as good as my foil razors, maybe a bit better. And it does a great job on an area of my neck that the foils always missed.
