I bought 2 of these, 1 for a game console and 1 for my PC, both use Optima 2-way reflex bookshelf speakers. They serve the purpose very well. These are not high quality amplifiers. I don't know what specs they used to rate them at 240w, probably 10% THD, but for small bookshelf speakers at close range they do great. I keep them at about 1/4 volume 90% of the time. For music 1/3 is max before the ugliness begins. For games it's about half or a little less. For voice 2/3 seems to be a good maximum. Again, these are the highest level I turn them to, and rarely at that because they can be quite powerful at those volumes at close range. My kids play the original Wii using this setup and they're limited to about 1/3 or less with this, which is fine because it's pretty loud then. Let's Dance, Guitar Hero, all those sound great with this amp and the Optima speakers. I probably wouldn't buy the lesser versions of the Pyle. This one seems to be a good minimum. I'm really happy with these. I bought them knowing about what I was getting for a certain purpose and they did not disappoint. These are not hifi or home theater amps. The quality just isn't there. They're utility amps. Use on the PC, game console, garage, anywhere you need more power but not a real "quality" listening experience. Read full review

There are at least two variations of this amplifier. One has Surface mount technology inside and PWB’s from the PCAU44 amplifier. This type has very high noise levels and requires the work of a technician to correct. Another type through-hole technology and has good performance right out of the box.

1 Star off because my left channel stopped working, but when this amplifier worked it produced such a loud sound and it's on-board controls were substantial, music was thoroughly more enjoyable than a Logitech z506 surround sound system. I even considered to keep using it with one channel because the single speaker was still so loud. When this baby works it does not disappoint.

This little Amp can deliver excellent sound and power. I use it for computer audio with a pair of JBL speakers the sound is amazing!!! Some complaint about the led light been to bright it is very bright but i love it like that make it very cool. Only cons is i ear a little hum in speakers this is annoying it seem to get less audible now. People who wondering how this Pyle amp compare to The very popular Lepy I own 4 model of Lepy including the most popular Lp2020A, Verdic dont waste your money on Lepy It is not comparable!!! Lepy is very cheap piece of Chinese Junk compere to this The sound Quality is not the same, pay a little extra and get the Pyle amp it really make a differance in sound include Bass. Pyle PCA4 feature 2X120W it is the peak power of course, but i cant get it over half volume it is to loud without distortion. Verdic Very good for the price, give you Quality sound if pair with Quality Speakers. Hope this will help!Read full review

amp works great and was a great price. one thing i will say is that one of the speaker wire clips was missing from the back even though the description said the item was like brand new. the shipping also took almost two weeks. which is kind of crazy since it was coming from chicago and going to california.

This is a fantastic little amp. Very compact, great amount of power. Im driving a 2.1 setup in my backyard using the RCA inputs from a Apple Airport Express and it sounds great even at higher volumes. I appreciate the separate treble/bass controls. As some speakers can sound to bright to me. All in all its a fantastic value and is a powerhouse in a small package. I would recommend it completely.

Unit is very detailed and functional. Controls work excellent and smooth. Led lights are too bright, but can be covered to block lighting up room. Overall a very solid, high quality well performing unit that I am very glad to own.

You get what you pay for, and when you pay this little, that's what you get. Amp has perhaps 20 watts per side. Quality is mid-fi, more noise than a good receiver amp. Also has a habit of reducing power after about 10 minutes of operation, even though it does not get hot, or even warm. Limited usefulness at best.

not enough power as an add to tower speakers in a surround system...my AV receiver put out more power to all speakers than using this separately for the 2 forward towers, and had much better sound quality than the separate amp. This inexpensive amp must be intended for basic systems that either lack amp all together or are dated.

I would have left 5 stars but the the signal strength LED's are way too bright resulting in the amplifier being uncomfortable to look at and distracting when in use.
