I have owned many compact digital cameras - both Panasonic and Sony. The Panasonic GX7 includes all the features that have ever been important to me: tilting LCD (and even a tilting EVF, wow!), burst rates that are useful for glamour work: 5, 4, or 2 fps - don't need 10 fps), quick access (via buttons) to ISO and white balance, a clever elevated flash, plus so many more refinements. The camera is solid and well-built. It exudes quality. I like it so much I own 2 of them - one chrome, the other black. Well done Panasonic!

I bought this camera as a second to a larger and heavier DSLR. Love the DSLR but I wasn't expecting to love this camera as much. I was wrong. The picture quality is amazing even with a lower priced lens attached and it is very portable and pleasant to shoot with. It has an amazing and very customizable feature set. In short it does everything my DSLR does and just as well. If I didn't already have the larger camera I probably wouldn't consider buying one at this point. Looking forward to getting a better quality lens and taking it to the next level.
I was a Canon user until I was introduced to the Micro 4/3 mirror less system. After that, it was ,"Katie bar the door!" I have never regretted the decision to go with the M4/3 cameras. That said, I had purchased the GX7 when it first hit the store shelves. I have this camera and the GH4. If I am grabbing a camera in a dash and run, I always take the GX7! It is light, FULL of GREAT FEATURES! I originally bought this because it had "in camera panorama stitching" It does this with speed and accuracy. LOVE IT! I bought a second one to convert to IR. I chose the GX7 to convert because it IS my go to camera for landscapes and cityscapes and for the panorama feature. On photo outings with other photographers they are impressed with this little camera that packs quite a punch! I know that I have sold about 10 of them.( I am NOT a camera salesman) just by showing people how fun, functional and great this camera is! IF you want a professional, FUNCTIONAL, FUN,camera this is the one. I am being honest when I say I have had this camera for 2yrs and find NO downside to it!Read full review
I wasn't sure about this camera since I also have the Sony a5000. My Sony was a huge disappointment with image quality. When I got this in I was highly impressed with all the features and image quality. VERY much worth the investment!!

Great little camera, Fun to use, feels good in your hand, super fast focus. I did however send it back and purchased a GX8, it's much bigger but I like it a for it's options.

This little gem outperformed competitions in its class with its unique features, needless to say its outlooks attract full attention in public which complement the entire beauty of this camera.

When I got this camera I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the photos came out. Also, after using it a bit, got used to the different grip and feeling of this camera compared to the G7. Very glad I got the camera and intend to use it a lot.

This was a gift for my 8 year old daughter to be able to go and take pictures together. For her to take selfie on our family outings. So far so good.

The live viewfinder stopped functioning within one year of purchase. Some manual functions are counter intuitive and difficult to use. Overall, excellent camera. Professional quality. A step up from the GF1, but I'm anxious to try the GX85.

Perfect, this camera will exceed your highest expectations. I would recommend getting the 17mm f/1.8 Olympus lens with it. The auto focus and clarity of the pictures are amazing.
