    "Yeah, Mon! 'Cool Runnings' is hilarious and awe inspiring film!"

    What the "Rocky" films did for Boxing, and "Remember the Titans" did for "Football", "Cool Runnings" did for the sport of Olympic Bobsledding. Based on the true story of Jamaica's first Olympic bobsledding team. They overcame ridicule and adversity for the chance to compete in a sport that was totally foreign to them in order to represent their country in the Olympics. The film was hilarious and at the same time, tear jerking and quite uplifting! Leon, Doug E. Doug, Malik Yoba, and Rawly Lewis were great as the Jamaican bobsledding team- Dereese Bannock, Sanka Coffee, Yul Brynner, and Junior Bevill. And who could forget about the late John Candy as the team coach, Irv Blitzer? He's awesome too!

    A very engrossing and at times moving movie about the first Bobsled team from Jamaica. John Candy gives a strong performance not his usual comedy shlock. The story is and move at a good pace and despite John Candy's name, Doug E. Doug is the comic relief. A great family film the whole family will enjoy and coming from Disney makes it even more enticing. The end will bring tears to your eyes for that feel good moment of the triumph the team experiences.

    Cool Running

    This is a great video that not only has good humor, but more importantly it demonstrates that sometimes success involves strong desire, determination and not giving up despite poor odds., It involves internal strife within the group and humiliation outside the group. This video is a good teaching tool to bring a smile to everyone's face, encouragement to keep on trying, how to be humble in the face of adversity, and accepting catastrophe with dignity. This video is well worth your dollar.
