    Gentrax 800 watt inverter generator

    I bought this compact generator to charge my camper van battery pack when parked up for long periods with not much sunshine about ,ie. raining and cloudy weather. it runs my 25amp projector charger easily on full charge and the engine automatically slows down to half output as the charger demand reduces. It is nice and light to move around @ 8.5kgs, especially for us old guys and i don’t think they come much quieter. I only paid $265.00 on sale, so cheap as chips! Great little back up machine if your planning to go bush, it will run my 125mm angle grinder( 720watt) under load as well, just to give you some idea of real world power output. does the job for me perfectly, also has 15 amp outlet, so you can use your standard caravan extension lead to connect.

    Delivers the full 700w.

    Very good engine in this unit. I use it to charge 24v 200Ahr battery pack which it does in just on 2 hours. Will do 3 charges on one tank of fuel which is about the same cost as grid power. Not much sound insulation is the only drawback but the engine note is OK so not too annoying. Important to run it in to get smooth running.
