Since I rearranged my great room I decided to retire my Technics 12" 3-way speakers to make more room. Found good reviews on these little bookshelf speakers so I ordered a pair. Paid $70 through Best Buy eBay...not a bad price at all (retails for $100). They fit on top on my entertainment center. Sound quality is very good in high and mid ranges. Bass is not that bad for a 5.25" driver. Speakers handle 100 watts. If you have a smaller room (mine is about 13 x 25 with entertainment center on one side, dining area on the other side) these will work just fine for a good clean sound. Since I do like more bass, just ordered a 8" powered subwoofer through eBay so I'll position that on the floor to give me a wee bit more "thump" from the bass. I recommend these speakers to anyone with a small system that desires a good clean sound (which they won't get from most TV's or cheap small speakers). If you need more bass add a center speaker or subwoofer to your system.Read full review

The Polk Audio speakers are of solid build and look good but....the sound quality I expected just wasn't as good as all the reviews I read. I hooded it up to an old Marantz and a newer Yamaha receiver and just didn't get the bass or the highs I expected.

I have purchased my Polk Audio speakers from many sellers on eBay. The first set from a private party from craigslist at the recommendation from a friend. Two complete 9.2 setups in total and two speakers right from Polk Audio. I am very impressed. The quality is fantastic! A great value new. The used ones I bought from eBay just made them easier for me to afford them using eBay credit. Anyway you buy they are a great sound, clear at any volume. I recommend them highly to everyone who enjoys a good sound.

Polk makes a very good lower end speaker. The T5's are perfect for use with my older model Denon AV Receiver. I use it now for FM/AM reception and the quality of the sound is just great for this purpose. I didn't want too much bass because i mostly listen to talk radio and some classic rock stations. Range of the upper end is great. The tweeters are tuned to receive spoken word. Middle range could be cleaner but for the money these are good value bookshelf speakers. If you want bone chilling base and refined high end go spent $1000 per speaker but if you want a good all around speaker for AV or radio listening the T5's are the ticket. Did not try them with my Phono so can's review how these sound on Vinyl.

Great speakers. Decent bass response for small bookshelf speakers. Hooked up to vintage pioneer receiver. Sounds fantastic. Small room application. Fantastic value. Nice construction with tight tolerances and they sound very good. I expect them to sound even better as they break in over the coming weeks. I've owned many speakers over the years, including some very expensive Vandersteens. This purchase was for my home office stereo rig

I am very satisfied with my Polk T15 bookshelf speakers, they offer good frequency response and are sensitive to music passages whether big or small. But now I will put them to the test with a new receiver that is capable of putting out 100 watts a channel. I know that they can handle such levels based on their wattage rating and other specifications. They are a great value and perform up to standards set forth by Polk. Though I use them as rear surround speakers they are still an integral part of my 5.1 surround system.

I was in need of a pair of small speakers for use in my office. These Polk speakers were the perfect size, matched well with my receiver and sound great. I have them mounted to floor stands. The price was also very good for the quality of the speakers. I've always known Polk to make quality speakers for years.

Bought these speakers to improve the sound from my flat screen TV. I am using a 15 watt per channel amplifier and there is plenty of volume and a full range of audio. The only minor complaint is that the dimensions are listed incorrectly. The dimensions are: As listed Actual Width 7.25 in. 6.5 in. Depth 10.2 in. 7.25 in. Height 6.5 in. 10.2 in. I had to place the speakers in a different location than planned due to the incorrect information.

A few years ago my wife and I decided to purchase a stereo system. We wanted separate components just as we once had 25 or so years ago. Recently we made the jump and purchased a Sony 100 Watt Stereo Receiver, and a Sony best drive turntable with a magnetic cartridge. All we needed to complete the system was a good speaker system. We were looking for passive, bookshelf speakers ti match the receiver’s wattage output if 100 Watts. I wanted to keep the price below $200. I can assure you there are more offerings in that area than one can possibly review in thus lifetime. However I tried. In time I lowered my choices to four then three, two, and finally one. When the dust cleared, these were left standing. So, why did I go with the Polk Audio? First was the product reviews. Not hardly a bad word fell on these speakers. Next was size. I truly needed a small size speaker. Finally, the look oozed good construction. I put in my order and waited for their arrival. They came well packed and protected and were easy to wire up to the Receiver. Indeed, they have a nice look and feel. But most important of all was the sound. They have a wonderfully full sound. Which easily filled the room. Indeed I have then in a small room, approximately 150 square feet and if I had them in a larger room I would need a subwoofer. Even so, they reached high frequency without a problem. And though the lows lacked a certain punch, they were well produced. So, I would say without a doubt these are high fidelity speakers. A great buy with a big sound. It’s hard to believe..... Read full review

I have worked in Radio Broadcasting for 30 years and I have lots of experience with sound equipment. The first thing I noticed when these speakers arrived arrived was the weight of the package, they are very heavy, these speakers are not cheap and flimsy. I found these are high quality, with awesome sound profiles, very good true sound with good base response. I use them in my production studio at home and I totally enjoy them every day, they are very much worth the money I paid.
