      A must for MTB'ers, but just blingy for roadies.

      Although you can regularly find plastic ones, these seem to be quite a bit more solid. I have both and find that for a heavy light, the aluminum mounting fin connection can be tightened down quite a bit harder providing more solid connection to the matching K-Edge mount. For roadies, I don't any benefit except for the added bling, but as a MTB'er, I can't tolerate any movement of my light during a rowdy night ride. Can you imagine the light shifting in a rock garden in the dark? Also, I would highly recommend LocTite on the threads especially for MTB'ers.
