SPORTS NIGHT was the brainchild of Aaron Sorkin (A FEW GOOD MEN) and ran on ABC from 1998 until 2000 as a critically acclaimed look behind the scenes at a very SPORTSCENTER-like show from which the series takes its name. Peter Krause and Josh Charles star as Casey McCall and Dan Rydell, the show's anchors, with Rydell being the series's focal point as a young and slightly idealistic sports journalist who has an endearing way of standing up for the dignity of his profession. A behind-the-scenes look at the production of a television show, SPORTS NIGHT is not at all about sports, but about the show's frantic, often quirky characters who often have to wrestle with tough moral and ethical questions about journalism as well as the occasional turkey thawing on the hot lights above the anchor desk.

    It was shipped fast, and the shipping costs were very reasonable for the size of it. However, I felt that the description of the "small tear" was intentionally misleading, as it is on the front of the box (covered in the pictures), and quite visible which displayed. So I wound up with what is essentially a damaged new product for a $25 discount. All said, I'm not terribly bothered by it, so I guess I'll call it a wash. I don't want the hassle of returning it.

    Hi Justin! Sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with your purchase. The tear described (and photographed) is over the Attack of the Clones sleeve. Not sure what you're referring to on the front of the package. There are two photos of the front package: one with the included Best Buy cover and one without (uncovered). This item was listed on ebay directly after a purchase from Best Buy due to the "Clones" tear. Never saw any other imperfection. Thanks again for your purchase.

    TV sitcom/drama at its best.

    Aaron Sorkin's first dabbling with TV series, it's mesmerizing how good the writing is, especially the first two shows, which took my breath away. Wish it hadn't ended with so few shows, but Sorkin was also working on West Wing: Sports Night lost.
