Works to seal for tubeless setup, however, it's very thin. Needed at least two wraps to work on a road tire PSI. May work better on a mountain setup, where PSI is much lower. Had split at a spoke hole with 110PSI with one wrap, two wraps has held fine.

I could not get this tape to stick to the rim. I cleaned it twice. once with brake cleaner and once with alcohol.. it refused to stick until I heated the rim with a propane torch. It's probably good tape for SOME use but not as tubeless tape.

Nice tape, works well for road pressure also.. appears a little thinner than Stan's. Only complaint is that one of the roll's must have been dropped or bumped against something during packaging and caused a simple in tape. As a result the first 5 or 6 layers kept splitting apart as the tape came off the roll which wasted tape

My first attempt at tubeless. This tape did the job. I used two wraps, but only one over the valve hole. Took time pushing out any little air bubbles. Tires held pressure as if there was a tube in there. And I have a supply to do ten more.

Exactly the same as the light yellow tape, just blue! If you have drilled fatbike rims make sure that you get wide tape. learn from my mistake.

This is my 3rd roll of this stuff- live it. Been using it in aluminum and carbon road, mountain and cross wheels. Here is the only catch- it’s a bit thin- thinner than Stan’s. Solution: just do two wraps. Simple. Great deal and good stuff.

This rim tape, (Scotch 8896) which is tensilized polypropylene with a pressure sensitive adhesive, is the same exact stuff as several "bike branded" products for a fraction of the price. Be sure to clean your rims with alcohol before applying.

Works great, much cheaper than Stan's. Large roll will do many wheels instead of having to buy many short rolls. I think it is actually a little easier to apply as it stretches a bit easier. Will definitely buy again if I ever run out.

Depending on the rim width you need a variety of tape widths. This is just one of several widths I purchased. Seems to work as good as Stan's Tape.

I use 8898 for rim tape on bike wheels, it seems to work better than 1/2 of manufacture specialty tapes that I purchased for rim applications, and the other 1/2 of manufacture specialty tapes that do work can be a real nightmare to get off of rims that I redo normally once a year, 8889 is like the perfect combination and is better all the way around.
