It provides detailed information but does not contain any simple crochet patterns to get a person started. I purchased this for my teenage grand daughter to learn from, but I feel that there are more suitable instruction booklets published that would be more suitable to cater to a teenager's requirements and interest. Not a book for children.

    This Crochet book was a real disappointment. I had thought that it would be in colour with step by step instructions and illustrations but it wasn’t. It is in black and white and barely any pictures of the stitches. Very disappointed with this book.
