The design of Florist Shop combines the color-matching puzzle play of Bejeweled with the "casual game"-style customer management of Diner Dash. The game's story follows Rose, an ambitious young woman who has given up an office job to start her own business, hoping to create the best florist shop in the town. To do this, she needs to provide her customers with the flowers they want, quickly and with a smile. The DS version of the game makes use of both screens. In the lower screen, blossoms of different colors appear in a grid. Above, images of customers wearing different colors of clothing are displayed. The goal of the game is to match blossoms in the touch screen in order to make bouquets for the customers in the upper screen. As she successfully serves customers, Rose earns cash that can be used to buy items and equipment that allow her to more efficiently create the most valuable bouquets. The game features 80 levels and two modes of play, "Adventure" and "Relaxed."
