    New technology isn't always the solution...

    New printers are often incompatible with old operating systems...so buying a used older printer is a simple option. While the ink cartridges are expensive, the HP Photosmart is a great little printer, scanner & copier. It is small and works well for home printing.

    Defective straight out of the box

    It was not working right from the beginning. It would damage the paper as it pulled it thru. But it printed a few sheets before completely dying. Now It just chews up the paper and gets jammed. I had another one of the same model for many years that worked great, which is why I bought this one even tho it’s discontinued, but I’m guessing it was available for sale bc it was defective.

    Buying old printers.

    This is s 10 year old printer that I purchased on eBay for twice the original price. Main reason was that I had more HP ink on hand and I was to cheap to throw out $100 of cartridges! So HP lead me to purchase a 10 year old printer rather than buy s new HP printer for $100 that used another numbered cartridge. Same crap as charges for cell phones. Could standardize the whole practice but that would make redundancy redundant!

    Great for home use and photos-scan connected to computer or just to make a copy

    I have had the same printer in the past and it lasted for years. Did not come with cord so have spent two weeks hunting for one but finally got the ac adapter. Have always liked this printer and was surprised to find another. Tried two others and ended up returning them - newer hp and epson
