    The Impressionists' Table -- A terrific book

    A great combination for fans of the great Impressionists, and of great food. Entertaining research in both areas. The author tells us about the dining and cooking habits of the legendary painters, then shares some of the recipes from the kitchens where they would have dined. Lots of examples from the paintings, and illustrations from magazines and papers of the day. I bought this as a gift for friends. He is a chef, she is a painter. Both loved it. She showed me a photo from one of the seaside restaurants, where she had eaten when she was living in France. A delightful book all round. I recommend it without reservation.

    french cooking made easy

    Great read. good for what I needed. Enjoyed the book got good info also. If anyone wants to make a french dinner this is the book for you.
