First off, I truly love my Royole Moon, the sound out of the head phones is truly amazing, surround sound and the bass is crisp and without distortion, wish it was a little bit louder. The screen size is huge and wide, and very, very sharp. The headphone controls with the jestures is kind of finiky to me, maybe I just have to get used to it. The good this it that I can connect my bluetooth mouse to it. The battery/control box (brains) is fine, I don't care to much for it.I hope that the 3rd gen. would have everything built exclusively in the headset instead of having to be tethered to the control box which feeds the head unit power. The first generation (Royole X) had a nicely designed leather case for that unit. The Royole Moon came with a pouch, I had to buy the royole x to get the case to fit my Roloye Moon into, now thats quite disappointing. I like that the royole moon run android, makes things much simpler not to mention downloading apps. Overall I am pleased, can't wait to see the third generation.Read full review

Before getting one of these, I got a BigEyesHMD H3 portable cinema and despite that one being a cheap intro product, I really liked the experience of having a cinema up to my face for movies and gaming. But it was only 720p resolution, no 3D and the only sound system it had was a 3.5mm jack with cheap earbuds. So I wanted to upgrade, and the Royole Moon with its 1080p and extremely good sound certainly serves. I LOVE the picture and I LOVE the sound. And it's versatile in just how many things you can do with it. I found the fact you could adjust the screen size very gamer-friendly. No issues with framerate or lag either. The 3d gaming is good, especially playing Sniper Elite III on PS4. PS3 3D titles will be in lower resolution and framerate, but that has more to do with the PS3 than with this device. Great experience watching 3D Blu Ray as well. I also like using Royole Moon better than using my PSVR in regular TV mode. The picture is slightly better, and the sound is MUCH better. It does not fog up my glasses like PSVR does, because (for most people) you don't need them with Royole Moon. All you have to do is adjust for your prescription by rotating the lenses. There is better than this-- The Cinera Edge Pro does higher resolution and has built-in Dolby Digital sound, but that thing is also a LOT more expensive than one of these. All that said, this thing is bulky, and you will need to do a lot of adjusting of the unit and the way you sit until you are comfortable enough to watch for a while with your attention off of it. And since the touch controls are on the right earcup, you will find yourself lowering and raising the volume a lot while you are adjusting. The interface is kind of clunky, and you will get annoyed using the touchpad on the side navigating the menus, especially when you type in your wifi password or have to type in a web address. The headaches are worth it. There's a bit of a learning curve to getting everything to work perfectly the way you want it to. It can be uncomfortable at times. But once you are immersed into a great movie or game, you will forget all of that and have a great time with this device, which I highly recommend.Read full review
