Driver 2 is the sequel to 1999's popular mission-based driving game. Players will once again assume the role of the undercover police officer Tanner. The game picks up right where the first one left off: your job is to run errands for various crimelords throughout the pedestrian-filled cities of Havana, Chicago, Rio de Janeiro, and Los Angeles. <br><br>The sequel has many new features not seen in the original installment. Where the first Driver had each urban location set up in a grid-like manner, Driver 2 adds curves to the streets, making the cities closer to their real-life counterparts. Tanner can also jump out of his car at will in order to ditch the police or to carjack someone. In-game hints via radio updates are available from partner Tobias Jones as well.<br><br>Players can choose between a first-person driver's seat view and a camera placed directly behind the car. As Tanner, players will traverse through all of the cities evading police, chasing down individuals, and carjacking enemies. Driver 2 also has multiplayer options and a free driving mode. A special director's option allows you to save your mission footage and edit the camera angles, effectively creating your own movie that can be saved onto a PlayStation Memory Card.

A great childhood feels rushed back when I popped it in the old PS1, not much going on here for new players unless you want to challage yourself with what used to be one of my favorite driving games.

Driver 2 is even better than the first. The concept is about the same, but some major additions are there, like the ability to get out of your car and commandere another, new curved roads and on/off ramps, and better cities with more differences than the first game. The new missions include ones where you just get from point A to point B in some short time and it's fun to try to chase a guy without getting close enough for him to spot you, or losing him. The mission where you have to race a train to someone stuck on the railroad tracks and get him out of there is fun, and certainly no easy task. There's even a baseball stadium in Chicago that you can get into if you can figure out how, and a little underground area in Havana that's also hidden. Also, the cops seem to be a ... Driver 2 is even better than the first. Also, the cops seem to be a little smarter in 2 than they were in the original. And, in this game, there's the ability to unlock hidden cars and mini-tracks. There is some multiplayer in this game with addictive minigames like capture the flag, which you really can't stop playing. You can even drive things like busses, police cars, armored cars, ambulances, limos, SUVs, and pickup trucks. Driver 2 is everything Driver had, and then some, and both games are worth every penny. You don't even have to be a fan of racing games to enjoy them. The game isn't that long, and doesn't have great graphics, but is definitely a great game. To be honest, I had more fun with Driver 1 and 2 than I did with the Tony Hawk series. This is one of the best games you can buy on the PlayStation. Graphics: (7/10) The graphics aren't any big deal, but cutscenes are great (just like most games). This game sure doesn't look bad, though. Sound: (8/10) Sound in this game is pretty good, and you can hear the police reporting, and the cops even speak Spanish in Havana, and Portugese in Brazil. Sound effects are good, too. Gameplay: (9/10) Wow. The car gameplay is great, but it could have been a little more relistic, I guess. Fun: (9.5/10) It's just fun! Replay Value: (8/10) You will play this game over and over again. Multiplayer is the best, though. The problem is it's on PlayStation and you can't even use a Multi-Tap, so it's only 2-player. And, you can't get out of the first-person view in multiplayer.

Great little original old school video game
Very nice complete set with the paper work . Works great....or just like they did when they were new. The game it's self is just old school video games, but if that is what you like it's great..and was shipped it out soon as I bought it....it got here lightning fast
