Excellent ...if the studs can take the torque.

Not up to it!
Used once on seized studs in motorcycle head and the jaws on the gripper disintegrated. Seemed like a good sturdy tool but I was proved wrong.

A great tool - excellent value.
Excellent product which clamps tightly onto the stud and can be used with an impact driver which makes stud removal easy. I used it to remove 18 studs from an alloy block - a little local heating of the block with a blow torch around the location of each stud and they came out effortlessly.

Low Cost, but Does the Job....
I was a little sceptical about how well this would work, but along with some heat applied to the task, this extractor succeeded in removing several 70-year-old exhaust manifold studs without any great difficulty. So well worth the modest purchase price.
