Reviews
'This book had an enthusiastic first outing, and certainly this second edition is worth the price for a good reference.' Kentucky Medical Journal, Reviews of the second edition: 'Katz provides a comprehensive review of multivariable analysis to illuminate an often confusing topic for clinicians, particularly clinician scientists. The chapter on the assumptions of multivariable analysis provides excellent examples and tips throughout.' Myra A. Kleinpeter, Journal of the National Medical Association

Synopsis
Now in its third edition, this highly successful text has been fully revised and updated with expanded sections on cutting-edge techniques including Poisson regression, negative binomial regression, multinomial logistic regression and proportional odds regression. As before, it focuses on easy-to-follow explanations of complicated multivariable techniques. It is the perfect introduction for all clinical researchers. It describes how to perform and interpret multivariable analysis, using plain language rather than complex derivations and mathematical formulae. It focuses on the nuts and bolts of performing research, and prepares the reader to set up, perform and interpret multivariable models. Numerous tables, graphs and tips help to demystify the process of performing multivariable analysis. The text is illustrated with many up-to-date examples from the medical literature on how to use multivariable analysis in clinical practice and in research., Now in its third edition, this highly successful text has been fully revised and updated. It describes how to perform and interpret multivariable analysis, using plain, non-mathematical language. Item description from the seller
Seller feedback (38,474)
- e***v (127)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseOverall, it went well. Good communication. I wanted the book to be shipped in a box, because the value and scarcity of the volume I purchased deserved it, however, the company is too large and I was informed the book would be shipped in a plastic mailer. Somehow it didn’t arrive very damaged, a little bump, but for the price I can’t complain. Over all I am satisfied, but if you’re a book collector, as I am, you may want to find another seller.Aurora: The Dayspring, or Dawning of the Day in the East, Boehme, Jacob, 9781558 (#236039083546)
- s***a (774)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThis company has been, in my experience, a mixed bag. This title was NOT worth the price because it came with highlighting, ink underlineing & writing in the margins...not the quality that they advertised. I have on other occasions gotten books in great condition, however, that were listed in less than the condition advertised so it goes both ways...but I'd much prefer a company that delivers exactly what they advertise. I guess good help is hard to find. The book was well packaged & came fast.
- r***s (228)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseGreat seller The price of the book was very reasonable for me Fast shipping and the book arrived on time The condition of the book is exactly as described and the package was well packaged and the appearance of the book and the package was very goodForbidden Passages: Muslims and Moriscos in Colonial Spanish America (The Early (#335842765317)
