  • Great Product for quick references!

Great compact reference book for mental illnesses. It is easy to use if you unederstand how to use it. If not, it may take a little adjusting to but it is really good for quick references. I would not recommend this version of DSM if you need more of an analysis or explanation.

  • Dsm-Iv-Tr (2000)

Good quick reference for use in the field. This reference is very easy to use. It is small to fit in a briefcase, purse or even a pocket.Every social worker needs this. I bought it for my practicum. I am a studentworking toward my Masters in Social Work and have to be up on diagnosis for billing purposes. This is a good book to have.

  • not too bad

not too bad, this book is great for a quick guide for psychiatric problems. the only thing is that it does not have the entire definition of certain conditions. but this is a great tool to have whenever you are seeing all type of patients. i would recommend this book to all in the medical field. this has been a valuable asset in my chiropractic career.

  • Quick reference to the DSM-IV-TR (2000, pb)

If you are a psychiatrist, medical student during your psychiatry rotation, social worker interested in the fields of mental health and substance abuse, or a clinical psychologist in any stage of development, then this little book is a must-have. Not intended to be as comprehensive as the much-heftier DSM-IV-TR, this Quick Reference lists all accepted diagnoses in a few pages in the front, with brief overviews of the diagnostic criteria in the rest of the book. Useful for billing, forms-coding, completion of my mandated institutional documents, and more, this paperback is actually interesting reading during repetitive lectures or travel.

  • Diag. Criteria-DSM-IV-TR from Student COTA perspective

Perfect for a Psychosocial OT course! I love that I didnt have to buy a brand new DSM IV. We were not required to buy for class but it is nice to have, considering that we are consistantly talking about different diagnosis. I can put it in my purse and look at it whenever I don't completely understand a medical condition. Highly recommend!
