    I ordered it because my built in Ethernet chip was malfunctioning, The Startech card worked Great

    The built in Ethernet chip failed to work properly right after I installed the free download of Windows 10, so I tried the Startech card and I now had better Speed, but when Win 10 corrupted my Root directory I had to restore Win 7 which came with the computer. This made my internet connection much more reliable, and with Startech card better. Since the restore to win 7 did not restore completely as I now had win 10 programs mixed with win 7, and win 10 somehow wiped out the restore hidden partition I have sent the computer into be reinstalled with "Clean" Windows 7"

    Broad band speed

    My old Ethernet card had error code 19 and would not work on Ethernet, so I order this card and now am working at 110+Mbt download. I am very pleased with this unit.

    Superior legacy support

    While trying to add gigabit ethernet to a geezer PC I got burned by Intel and TP-LINK who make PCI network adapters with universal connectors that aren't 5 volt tolerant. So I contacted StarTech before ordering, and they said that the ST1000BT32 is 5 volt tolerant. It is indeed! Windows recognized it immediately, and Lan Speed Test confirms the network is running much faster than it did with the old 10/100 adapter. Also the promised low profile bracket was included. I don't need the low profile bracket, but I do need suppliers who deliver what they say they will deliver. StarTech does that.

    Great Price and Deal
