Great player
Player has a very easy to use menu. Some have commented regarding the size of the factory remote. I utilize a Harmony remote so this is not a concern of mine. However, when using the remote which came with the unit, I had no problems. I have played a number of 4K, BluRay and DVD's in the unit and each look very crisp. Glad I bought this player to complement my Samsung 8000 series television.

Sound could be better.
The sound is not great even with a sound bar. I’m hard of hearing but can usually hear when the sound is on medium high. I can’t hear the dialogue on most movies that I’ve played. I’ve tried adjusting the woofer but when I try, I get the message that my device doesn’t support that function. It’s still nice but I’m missing about 15% of the dialogue, but music is loud and clear overwhelming the dialogue. Maybe I just don’t know how to adjust it right,?but that is my only complaint.

Excellent player but run w/o smart hub
Applies also to k8500. When running with Smart Hub, I get 2-3 sec delay in skipping back and forth in dvd, like FF. Also if press pause and then play, I get 2-3 sec lip sync. Do reset: hold square stop button ON PLAYER (not remote) for 6-7 secs or so and reset sequence will start - just let it run - about a minute. When it asks you to agree to Smart Hub, choose right arrow, and then skip. Thus no smart hub and ZERO lag problems. This was okay for me since I use my 4K Roku for all streaming anyway. Does very nice 4K and HDR10. TV is Vizio V436-G1 4K HDR10. Cables are $15 Monster HDMI. I think Bestbuy has $7 ones that would probably work just fine.

WiFi Direct TV beware
works fine. but I had to put the unit away from my Direct TV, it would not let it receive a signal. I have the Genie WiFi direct tv. with the DVD player next to the Genie Device no WiFi would come thru. after I moved the DVD player about 3 ft away from the genie they both worked fine.

full size or zoom controls
This player is the best, but no full size or zoom controls. Have to adjust with TV every ime I play a 4K movie. I have a Samsung QN70 QLED. Otherwise very good player.
