Amazingly enlightening, insightful and clever
Susan Cain (a self-acknowledged introvert) points out that most of the greatest humans in history were introverts. This is a must read - introverts and extroverts alike have so much to learn here. There’s lots of good stuff, from the history of how the world became extrovert-focussed and so dismissive of introverts, the myth of leaders needing to be extroverts, how to nurture introvert (and extrovert) children, how introversion and shyness are not the same thing, why introverts make better long term investors, and much more. We are told inspirational stories about, for example, Rosa Parks, Steve Wozniak, Eleanor Roosevelt and Gandhi. This book is mandatory reading for all parents and educators, but also for anybody that deals with people (i.e. pretty much everybody!). I got some fantastic ... It's indeed a life-changing book - now instead of wasting energy trying to deny my quiet nature or wish it away, I will accept it and be grateful for the strengths that it gives me. Thanks to the author who dared to be so vulnerable.

I would recommend it to everyone who would like to understand why introverted people are the way they are and that it has a purpose and meaning that we have introverted as well as extroverted people on the planet; because the two can balance each other. Also we can see the "backstage" of society, the hidden causes which led to today's major way of thinking. Helped mu daughter no end understand the world around her and how to deal with it. Filtering out the noise is short term or a sticking plaster when needed. This goes a long way to providing a solution.
