    Rather slow

    The label states that the charge rate is only 16mA. For a 300mAh battery that takes almost 19 hours. I have 600mAh batteries, which will take 38 hours. This is a "20-hour charge rate" for 300mAh batteries. It has two transistors per battery, so it is a simple but non-trivial charge circuit.
