    Quality printing with lower cost for ink

    I had this identical printer which was purchased around 2011. Even though the printer is large and somewhat bulky, the print quality was really good. It finally had problems completing a print job, so it was time to purchase a new printer. I wanted one that was equal to my older printer and found this one. The other reason I chose this printer was that it uses HP 564 ink cartridges which are available as refilled cartridges for a fraction of what other cartridges cost. The down side to this purchase was the cost. My original "new" printer purchased in 2011 was about $70.00 less than I paid for this refurbished printer. But I still am pleased with this model printer.

    Didn’t expect much from a $45 purchase. I had to replace the print head. Also replaced all the cartridges. Still trying to get the WiFi to work. I can’t get it to print with a cable connection to my PC. My old printer is providing all the parts so I don’t have any additional expense. I am confident to get it up and running over the weekend. Stay tuned.

    GREAT photo print quality... but loud...

    Only had for a little over a week, but works great. The photographic print quality is absolutely stunning. Not sure about ink costs yet. The only comment I would make is that whenever the machine is used to print anything... black or color... it has to go through several almost violent adjustments / calibration steps to reset itself. Can be annoying. The quality of the color print, however, is well worth it (at least for me!).

    I would buy this printer.

    Painless wifi set-up. As with all HP Photosmart printers the quality of your prints is excellent. Only drawback is you must feed your photo print stock from the main tray. Was hoping to use the photo tray but still only for small prints. The printer has a ability to recognize HP Photo paper. Prints turn out sharper, paper is a little more. Since I did not buy the printer to run commercial print shop it is fine for my needs.

    Nice print quality, at a frustrating price.

    This machine prints very well, when it prints. I have had numerous and continued problems with the wireless feature. I have lost track of how many times I've reloaded printer software on my Dell laptop in attempt to stabilize HP C309 wireless print function. One day it seems to work fine, and the next is "what now?". I am not alone. Check the internet for user comments on this printer. I finally turned off most of the software features and have some success. HP loads services that continually use Internet bandwidth to check for updates. They are ALWAYS running,and slow everything else down and difficult to turn off. Strip down printer software, turn off anything HP automatic update and your wireless may be acceptable. But why bother? So many good printers out there without the ...
