    GE Bake Element Replacement for WB44K5012

    I just received it today and have already installed in my oven. Quality seems to be OEM. It came in a GE parts box and overall fits almost like the original. There are some slight differences. The prongs were welded on crooked and the element itself is slightly shorter than the original. The element also was a little warped or something as one side of the element fits closer to one side of the stove interior than the other. It's not a huge issue and I honestly was afraid I would break it if I started tinkering with it. The element holes did line up and it secured snuggly in place. I tested it at 350 degrees and then 450 for a few minutes to ensure there were no heating problems and to burn off any contaminants. It did heat quickly and evenly so I see no problems at this time.     An exact fit.

    The bake element fit perfectly and was easy to install. The OEM element was 2500 watts and this one is 2850 watts, so some minor adjustments needed to be made concerning the baking rack height, cook temperature, and cook time. Hopefully the oven's electrical components can handle the extra amp draw of the higher wattage element.

    Shipping could be better.

    The product was very good, easy to install, no problems there but the shipping was not good. It was bent out of shape and shipped in a soft package, it should have been shipping and in a box. I could not get it perfectly straight because I was afraid it would brake.

    Beats the fire out of $45 for original.

    Fit was just right. Heats fine. Hopefully it will last a while. Unit was kind of warped i suppose from shipping. Not stamped with output wattage as original was. All in all a much better deal and GE part cost wise.
