This is another great example of DC's Showcase Presents series of trade paper back. I like DCs Showcase Presents series of paper backs because they give you an entire storyline for a relatively cheap price. Phantom Stranger stories were well written and presented. They are spooky, fun to read, and very easy to follow. You get a total of 544 pages and all of the first 21 stories of the Phantom Stranger and the DR. 12 back up stories. As a bonus you also get Showcase #80, which debuted the Phantom stranger in his first Silver Age story, "Men Call Me the Phantom Stranger." Also included is the first Dr. 13 back up story "The Ghost-Breaker." Buying each individual comic could easily put one back a couple hundred dollars. The only complaint is that it is done in b&w; however, all the pages are in its original formats. Color would certainly have made this a priceless collectable edition. It's still great for reading and seeing the first Phantom Stranger stories without spending your entire savings. You also save the storage space required to store all those comics, etc. In the future I hope they will offer CD or other computer versions of these books. A great book for any fan of the Phantom Stranger.
