A great story. Fascinating look at England pre- World War One

Orphan teen Christina is sent to live with her uncle and cousins at a shabby country manor. Here she finds romance and and lessons in the class division of the times. As machines change the world, and the war approaches times are changing at Flambards too.

    • What a surprizeVery happy

I fell in love with this story years ago after seeing it on bbc television. I never dreamed I would be able to find it again anymore now after all these years. I found it very reasonably priced and it arrived so quickly. Great doing business with you. Thanks! 1

    • Got this Series for a Friend and she's very happy!

The DVD's are in great shape. The quality of the old film isn't very good - not HD but VCR quality, but that's cuz this series is old. It is a wished for gift for a friend who will be happy with it.

    • Nice to have it working on blu ray

Colour good but sound is difficult, as is the case with older productions . the voices are a bit muffled sometimes difficult to understand the actors. I am using a Sonos sound-bar. However I am happy to have an OS dvd that works in our region

    • Childhood favorite

I remember watching this with my mother as a child. I shared it my children and grsnd children. Love the era it is set in and the the great job they did including the issues of the day without losing focus. Great story.
