Great sound and all the features you need at a great price
This thing does it all for a fraction of the price of high end audiophile gear. Perfect for my set up…optical in from TV, rca in from preamp (for turntable), Bluetooth when I need it, USB in for lossless audio, and output for a sub. I’m running into Elac debut 5’s and there is plenty of power. I’ve now got a great little setup to toggle between tv, digital audio, vinyl…everything! I can’t describe the sound in an audiophile sense, but to my ears it sounds great…plenty of tonal control, and the stereo separation and detail is all I need. I changed the tubes to 5654w, but can’t really hear a big difference from the included tubes. Fantastic little amp, great warm sound, looks great
This little unit punches well above it's weight, and has a great mix of inputs to cover all the basic requirements (Bluetooth, optical in for a CD player, RCA in for a record player with preamp). The sound is gorgeous, and it does a great job of driving my tall floor standing speakers, plenty loud enough, and the tone controls enable a good level of EQ tuning. Overall very happy with the unit, a great size to take up only a small amount of room on the shelf, it does get a little warm, but not too hot. This little unit punches well above it's weight, and has a great mix of inputs to cover all the basic requirements (Bluetooth, optical in for a CD player, RCA in for a record player with preamp). A good save by Douk Audio.
I was initially disappointed when I first turn ed it on there was a loud hum and no signal on the left. channel . I contacted Douk Audio and they eventuallgot back to me and suggested taking out the tubes, and reconnecting them and it worked, on both channels and soun7ded really good so I gave it 4 because of the initial problems. But working properly it sounds like a mjch bigger aind morei powerful than its 99size suggests..I was initially disappointed when I first turn ed it on there was a loud hum and no signal on the left. channel . I bought this as a bedroom amplifier and I’ve attached some 8 ohm Yamaha bookshelf speakers. The unit has banana plug sockets as well I’m using the supplied valves The sound is lovely and warm. Ample volume for the bedroom. The remote is a generic unit, but does everything desired On/off Volume Input selection The Bluetooth (5.0) was easy to pair with my iPhone I’m very happy
