    Truly Universal Water Valve Kit

    This particular valve is great because of its thoughtful construction. The inlet port and the coil are mounted in a way that allows disassembly by way of ¼" hex screws and reassembly in any number of ways to account for different mounting situations in the icemaker unit. Also included are a length of connecting hose, fittings for the hose attachment and a right angle bracket to further adapt to almost any situation. Great unit...great value.

    Not a substitute for 12490801

    This is NOT a substitute part for a 12490801 Whirlpool ice maker water valve. Neither the mounting bracket nor the adapter plate included can be configured to actually mount the valve. The bracket from the original valve cannot me substituted - the body configuration has been changed. The best you can do is used the internal part to rebuild the original valve. The description should make that clear!

    The way all valves should be; Silent

    It's (nearly) completely silent! I replaced the (maddeningly buzzy loud) one that came with my G.E. IM4D ice maker, with this valve. This one makes less sound than the runnig refrigerator I installed it in! Mounting bracket, fittings, this kit has you covered.

    I CONNECTED THIS SOLENOID'S WATER INLET TO MY OUTSIDE WATER SUPPLY, THE SOLENOID WATER OUTPUT I CONNECTED TO MY MISTING FAN. I CONNECTED THE SOLENOID POWER TO MY 120VAC REMOTE UNIT. NOW I CAN TURN IT OR OFF VIA REMOTE. *CAUTION, DO NOT HAVE THE SOLENOID POWERED ON WITHOUT WATER FLOW*. OR YOU WILL BURN UP THE SOLENOID....THE WATER FLOWING KEEPS THE SOLENOID COOL.
