| Seller Notes: | “This clock is in excellent condition and is in full working order. It has a stunning, cast chalkware body in the shape of a small Grandfather clock. The chalk has been given a dark green coloured finish, with gilt accents and a beautiful craquelure. There is a patina, which it has acquired through time, this enhances the appearance of the clock. The face is a circular, silvered dial with black numbers and hands. The clock is marked: PERIVALE. Underneath the number six it is marked: MADE IN ENGLAND. The face has a gilded, metal framed, convex glass casing, which is intact and is in excellent condition. The clock stands on it's heavy base. To the front of the clock it has a great detail, with a little girl, gazing at the clock face. She has a lovely, knee length dress on and wavy locks of hair. She is holding on to the clock. To the back of the clock you can set and wind the clock. There is an attached key to wind the mechanism. Marked L.M.C 797.” |
