Botach description can be a bit deceiving as it said steel:Grivory which can be construed as steel and plastic but it is all plastic. That being said it is lightweight and seems to hold up pretty well. If for some reason you are wanting to throw this at pine boards you will break it. Come on, it is plastic after all Has a very nice edge and sharp tip. I'd assume you cannot carry this in any State as it has a dual edge. Perfect for throwing in a back up bag

This is NOT a knife, but ...for what it IS and for it's intended purpose it is great! This Nightshade Tai Pan is a Training tool (not a knife) and is used in practicing knife fighting and self defense training. It allows greater force to be applied during training exercises to better simulate the realities of an actual force on force physical altercation without killing or maiming your training partner. OR as the "nightshade" series name might suggest, it could be used as an effective stealth weapon or means of protection. It is light weight so its nimble and easy to weild, and being made of Grivory, or plastic, its easy to conceal and doesn't set off metal detectors (for all your clandestine operation needs) . It might not be made of steel, have a "razors" edge, or "kill" pine boards, but it doesn't have to... Being pointy is all it needs to be effective against a person.. people are much softer than any wood! And unlike wood, people usually tend to retreat or rethink things after they get a hole poked in 'em! Hope this helps clear up any confusion👍 🌈🦄⚔🛡🇺🇸Read full review

It’s plastic, doesn’t come with a sheath nor is one available for it. It’s pointy but not sharp. It will not hold an edge or even take one. I’d say it’s like a prisoner’s shank but the shank is probably sharper and is proven more deadly. Spend $20 more and get a inexpensive metal knife. It does make a great letter opener. No joke it does that very well.

very weak and inefficient ... I should have chosen a smaller model, because at that size the knife does not have enough solidity for a drilling.
