Manage your campaign with this indispensable Dungeon Master accessory for the world's greatest roleplaying game The outside of this screen features an epic scene illustrated by Craig Spearing, depicting the red dragon Thraxata the Flamefiend and her kobold minions confronting a party of intrepid adventurers. The group's ranger tries to finish the fight with a legendary arrow of dragon slaying meant specifically for this wyrm. This durable, four-panel Dungeon Master's Screen, lavishly adorned with illustrations inside and out, will enchant and inspire players and Dungeon Masters alike. The screen's landscape orientation allows the Dungeon Master to easily see beyond the screen and reach over it, even as it keeps die rolls and notes hidden from players. Tables on the inside provide essential support for the three pillars of play-combat, exploration, and interaction-to Dungeon Masters of all skill levels. Provides at-a-glance reference for the most relevant and often used in-game information such as conditions, a quick NPC characteristics generator, and a handy tool for setting the difficulty of skill checks. An excellent resource for new and existing Dungeons Masters to facilitate inspired adventures and an engaging play experience. | |

Good value
Compelling content
Not completely worthless
4-panel design sits securely upright, adequately concealing dice while being low enough to see over (but not to reach over). Durable enough to last several weeks, or longer. The tables consist of: 1 1/2 panels listing the effects of Conditions. This is the most useful part of the screen, but it could have been done on one panel if only they had dispensed with the needless artwork mixed in with the data. c. 1/4 panel listing the effects of cover, obscurement, & lighting. Potentially helpful. c. 1/4 panel recounting travel pace & encounter distance. Mildly useful. c. 1/4 panel recounting how to set DC's, damage vs dangerousness by level chart, & which abilities are associated with which skills. Basically garbage, except to novice DMs. 1 1/2 panels of trash: a handful each of NPC qualities, random events, stuff, and a generic name-builder. c. 1/2 panel of uninspiring art. More durable GM-walls exist, with transparent pockets for inserting more useful charts & references. This version is tolerable, perhaps a little useful for newbies. Worth $5. Not worth $10.
Beautifully done and very informative. Advanced enough for a veteran DM but simple enough for any novice trying to DM to understand.
I've played 3.5 D&D since its inception and have just recently gotten into playing 5th edition and I love it. So if you're a veteran DM or just learning this DM screen should be part of your gaming arsenal. It is no longer in print which explains the price but it is well worth the money. The art is AWESOME and the DM content is invaluable.
