It's a strong vacuum and easy to manoeuvre. However, it seems to accumulate dust around the metal filter mesh, instead of filling the canister, causing the vacuum to think it is full, when only really 20% full. The motor then has to work harder, eventually cutting out and all suction is lost. You then have to brush away the dust around the mesh filter to get the vacuum working properly again. Also, be careful when emptying the dust collector because it is a 2 stage release. A few times now the container has opened both stages before I've managed to get it into a bin or bag, thus spilling all the dust back onto the floor - frustrating. The clip that closes the lid is also not very good. This model does have many nozzles to use for various cleaning circumstances. That's a great feature.

We have a dog who constantly sheds white hair onto our black carpets, we had the Dyson Stick Vacuum and loved it but the battery time wasn't enough so decided to get this barrel vacuum and it was an excellent decision. It is so easy to use & empty, the suction is awesome and our carpets are incredibly clean. I would highly recommend this vacuum to other pet owners.

I've loved every dyson vac I've ever owned, from the V6 cordless, V8 animal cordless to the small ball allergy upright. I upgraded to the big ball cinetic from the small ball upright as I now have a home with mainly laminate flooring and also, the big ball is much better for cleaning out the car. I couldn't even tell it had been refurbished when I pulled it out of the box, everything seemed brand new. I absolutely love it, and would definitely recommend buying a dyson this way because it's sooooo much cheaper!!

I love using this Dyson. I have sore back & shoulders and being so light it works beautifully with me. Dusting is also great, lots of accessories. I have had other vacuum cleaners with more/stronger suction but I still favour this being so light to push & pull. Makes vacuuming bearable. One of the wheels did break off just after two weeks of owning it. Their repair warranty department was very prompt & efficient. You send it back via Australia post with Dyson paying for the postage & keeping you updated on the progress. So my advise is register warranty straight away & keep the box.

It is excellent quality and lives up to it's name. Easy to use all attachments and great for a medium to large home. Whilst it's easy to empty compared to other vacuum cleaners... it's not as hands free as dyson claims.... but would recommend as it's definitely one of the best in the market!
