Solved the problem
I just could not get the seal clean and I was getting marks on clothes occasionally. Problem solved - new door seal. It did take a while to fit it with the help of YouTube videos. But between my husband and I with a few tools and a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon - all sorted. While we were at it, I completely cleaned the whole machine. Now its working really well and I’m determined to keep the seal clean, which will make a great difference.I just could not get the seal clean and I was getting marks on clothes occasionally. Cheap DIY fix
make double sure this is the right version for your washer, there are bosh install videos on line that will help. Search youtube for "bosch washing machine door seal replacement" Install is a little fiddly and will require you to pull the washer out and partially dissamble but this is doable with a set of hex bits. Can be done for a fraction the cost of a service call
