I used Garmin products for many years. Previously I owned a combined Speed/Cadence sensor. It was good enough for time being, but this version moves these devices on a new level. The problem with previous version was that it required installation and adjustment of several parts - the sensor and magnets. It was a mess. Sometimes the device or magnet would move and I lost data. New devices use internal sensors and do not require a magnet, which is very convenient. Now I can easily switch it from one wheel to another or from one bicycle to another. Also because now I use Garmin Vector, I do not need a cadence sensor and can install only speed sensor.

Went on the bike very quickly and easily compared to the old model, and synchronised without much faffing. The cadence module should probably go on the inside of the crank arm, as it hit my foot on the outside. The picutre 'could' be deemed misleading, at least a little confusing, as it seems to suggest there are three items, when there are only two; Speed and cadence, the top right in the picture is the rubber speed 'sleeve'.

Product is exactly as described. Way, way better than the older speed and cadence sensors. No magnet required for the cadence sensor that mounts on the crank, and no need to have zip ties messing up the paint job on your chain stay for the speed sensor, plus, you can drop it on the front hub instead which provides much easier access. Highly recommended.

Bought a cheap Chinese speed and cadence sensor, was terrible because it picked up all the bumps as pedaling. The garmin sensor kit has worked flawlessly out of the box, paired with my edge 800 without any trouble.
