I bought "Prince Valium" After discovering that "Medication" featured ex "Ugly Kid Joe" Frontman Whit Crane. The Sound of The album is very typical of the Nu metal priod from around 1999 to 2003 although Cranes Superb vocals Hooked up with Big De-tuned guitars, hiphop/metal crossover rhythms and excellent production make for a much more rewarding listening experience with repeated plays. Several Nu-metal era bands Material sounds one dimensional and even a little dull when played in 2010 but "P.V" gets better and better Kicking off with "Loaded Gun", Featuring the pretty "Walk away" and finishing with five killer tracks From "Super Pop" to "End of Ends". The title track features one of the biggest riffs of the album. Due to the fact that Medication did not ditch their guitar solos and incorperate some Light & Shade with almost Cure Like chorusy tones and non widdly guitar breaks, the whole thing sounds more interesting and complete. Overall its a more Sombre sound than Ugly kid joe but I definately advise anyone into their hard rock/metal to check it out. An awesome band that deserved to go further.....Read full review
