Product Information

The Netgear Nighthawk X8 is a modern router that comes with Quad Stream and Tri-Band Wi-Fi performance that can push Wi-Fi speeds above 5 Gbps. The Wi-Fi range is amplified too, thanks to the four internal antennas and four active antennas on the outside of the device. The router comes with six Gigabit Ethernet ports, which allows multiple wired devices to be connected simultaneously, doubling maximum wired speeds.

Yes, its good!!
Best ADSL2+ router I could find. Also works with direct internet connection... but here in Aus, ADSL2+ is still a popular option until the National Broadband Network is scaled out to all homes. ADSL2+ not too popular in many other countries, so its difficult to find top notch new tech. AC5300 is great! Easy to set up, plus 6 x 1Gig ethernet connections. With 2 x 5g wifi radios, I have dedicated one 5g network as a backhaul direct to my extender. I have a new extender on the way (Netgear EX8000, AC3000) which should make the backhaul reach top speed... faster than the ADSL2+ connection itself! So, I am 100% happy with the Netgear D8500 router. Strongly recommend.... price is worth it if you have a complex home environment.
